Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada
The Nanaimo Cruise Ship Terminal successfully combines wood, glass and steel to create an attractive, airy and honest building that meets the operational needs of the port. Kawneer’s Clearwall® Curtain Wall System combined with a 1602 Wall System and thermal windows were used to create a sleek, uninterrupted all-glass façade. This design enables optimum sunlight to enter through exterior glazing, which warms the stone floor and generates heat that is slowly released and circulated through the structure.
